如这里有这么一个词条
LOOK is the appearance of something,especially an appearance that has been deliberately planned or made.
但是我不是很明白,为什么说卖相的什么的,是用look,不用appearance
如Just to improve the look of the dish...
另外,关于look和image,我这里有两条解释
LOOK is a particicular fashion or a particular combination of clothes,hair etc that someone chooses.
IMAGE is the appearance and character that someone deliberately tries to produce by dressing or behaveing in a particular way.
郁闷,那为什么Her long straight hair and dark eye make-up give her a sort of late-sixties look.中时用look而不能用image.
