An Unforgetable Experence
I still remember the day when the sports meeting was held in our school.The next event was the one- hundred -metre relay race.Our class was one of the six teams competing for this race.Unfortuanately,Li Hua,who was the fourth runner,had a terrible stomach-ache.As a result,he had to quit the race.
Who would take Li Hua's place?We were all concerned over this problem.At that moment,I stood up and said:"I can do it!" All the eyes of my classmates were fixed upon me.I could feel their thirst for victory and trust in me.I had no choice but to meet the challenge courageously.
Finally,the relay race started.When the baton was passed into my hand,I felt excited and ran as fast as I could.To my great surprise,I even overtook the runner before me.I was the first to breast the tape!
