Sometimes,cheating or plagiarism happens unintentionally,simply because the rules and guidelines are not known.You can avoid this situation by using the following tips:
Written examinations
As soon as you enter the examination room,place your jacket and bag in the aisle,on the windowsill or at the front of the room.Do not take any valuables with you to the exam.Switch your mobile phone off and put it in your jacket or bag.
Be on time.If you arrive late,you will not be given extra time at the end.If you arrive more than 30 minutes late,you will not be allowed into the examination at all.It is also not permitted to leave the room until a half-hour after the start of the exam.
Make sure you can identify yourself with your Tilburg University student card.Place this on your table in such a way that it can be clearly seen.If you do not have a student card,make sure you have your passport,identity card or driving licence with you.
A visit to the toilet will only be allowed in very exceptional circumstances.Invigilators allow only a very short break to be taken and do not permit more than one person to visit the toilet at the same time.
At the end of the examination,hand in your answer sheets and/or your multiple choice answer card at the invigilation table.An invigilator puts a tick after your name to show that you have handed in your exam paper.
