Fresh water seems everywhere, in rivers, lakes, wells, as well as the rains, which makes some people
think that we should never worry about it.
As a matter of fact, global shortage of fresh water is getting more and more serious with the
development of industries and the rising population. We are consuming much more water than what our
mother earth is able to provide. Think of the pictures of the barren lands in many parts of the world and
the poor children in African deserts who are dying for water. What's worse, much of the limited water has been polluted, making it unfit to drink.
Therefore, we should no longer be indifferent about this. To protect our valuable water resources, we
should call on people to cherish every drop of fresh water.
