2006年初,我园又补植牡丹130余株.为了使牡丹与石、林、路、草形成和谐自然的生态景观,经过精心设计将全园规划为留个小园：百年牡丹园、牡丹标本园、紫斑牡丹园、中原牡丹园、外国牡丹园和芍药园.而园界以观赏园路自然划分,院内布局合理、条块清晰、层次分明、错落有致.
今日的牡丹园将以姹紫嫣红的新姿新貌领八方游客赏心悦目,流连忘返.
