I watched a movie named “The Pursuit of Happiness” directed by Gabriele Muccino. The movie is about the on and off-homeless salesman-turned-stockbroker Chris Gardner. The film begins in 1980s in America, Linda and Chris live in a small apartment with their 5-year-old son, Christopher. Chris has invested the family’s life savings in a company by selling scanners. He failed and has only several dollars. But he has a strong willing to make his family live better. So he begins looking for new jobs while his wife has left him and their son. Then he has to go to the shelter place for sleep every night with his son that makes him touch the rock bottom. However, he still tried really hard to be successful and finally he did.. He got the happiness that he pursuit for a long time and he deserves it.. Everyone has a dream, but sometimes we just give it up for some reasons. And some others just keep pursuing their dreams no matter how hard it is and at the end, they touch the sky. We say he got the happiness he always wanted, what about us? Maybe most of us would say: no, we haven’t got our happiness. Why? Different people have different dreams and have different definitions on happiness. In the movie, Chris’s definition on happiness is to make a better life for his family and that is not a very hard one. But in the real life, most of us just have a very untouched dream which makes our success far away from us. So, just let your dream be more realistic and pursue it.
