My hometown—Huzhou
My name is Song Yiwen. Today I am very happy to be here and introduce my hometown to you. Huzhou is in the north of Zhejiang province, and beside the Taihu lake. So people sometimes call her as the pearl of the Taihu lake. Huzhou is about 5,817 square miles big, and has a population of about 2.5 millions.
Huzhou is a beautiful city. It has many lovely sceneries, such as , Feiyin Tower, which is famous for the miracle of tower in tower ; Tiefo Temple , which is well-known in japan as the Eastern Venus; Three Bridges in Shuanglin, which is praised highly by Mao Yisheng.
Huzhou is not only as beautiful as a painting, but also has a long history. You can trace it from Tang Dynasty, maybe even earlier. Many famous people have lived or worked in Huzhou, for example, Wang Xizhi, Cao Buxin, Lu Yu, Bai Juyi in the ancient times, Yu Pinbo, Maodun, in the modern times.
Huzhou was famous for its abundance in rice, fish and silk, and now it still has many products sailed aboard. Many tourists from all over the world visit Hozhou every year. They not only indulge themselves in pleasure, but also bring many businesses for us , which makes us wealthier and wealthier. What ‘s the most important is that they make more people appreciate Huzhou , visit her and love her.
I’m very pride of everything in Huzhou. I take pride in being a Huzhou citizen. If you visit Huzhou someday, I’d love to be your guider and show you the pictures of Huzhou.
