If I were the headmaster of the university, I will pay more attention to the overall development of the students instead of their academic performance.
First, I have to admit that the base task for a university is to help students grasp a practical skill, which will give them an edge when hunting for a job between the fierce competitions. At the same time, I would like to argue that this is not about the entire mission of the university. The purpose of the university is to cultivate the student minds and tastes, expand their view as well as preach the values and briefs which are cherished by our ancestors. That’s the essence of the university and that’s the beauty of the education.
So based on these principles, as the headmaster of the university ,I will urge the university to use a large amount of budget to invite some well-known scholars and masters , spreading the latest ideas and thoughts to our students rather than use these money to build some ridiculous high buildings.
Meanwhile, I will also set up some special scholarship to award those who’re not the top students but still make some improvement every semester.
They should deserve our applause and honor because they truly fulfill the meaning the life” to explore your potential to the fullest.

Although I ‘m going to explain this point, first of all, I have to admit that the basic mission of a university is to help students learn skills and knowledge, which will help them a lot when hunting for a job or facing other challenges after their graduation. However, as far as I am concerned, this is not the entire task which a university is supposed to complete. The purpose of a university is not only to create academic experts, but also to broaden the students’ horizons as well as spread the briefs which have been valued by our ancestors for over a thousand years. It is cultivating students who are intensive in both thoughts and tastes the essence of education.
Based on this principle, I would urge the university to use a large part of budget to invite some well-known scholars and pioneers from all kinds of areas to spread the latest ideas and developments to our students instead of using this money to build high buildings. After all, the inner spirit of a university is much more important than its appearance, right?
Meanwhile, I would also like to set up a special scholarship to award every semester those who make great improvements even if they are not the top students. I think that they really deserve our applause because they have explored their potential and thus benefit from their diligence.
In conclusion, these two changes are what I’d like to make most if I were the headmaster.
