Spore of the Lepisorus paohuashanensis Ching and Lepidogrammitis drymoglossoides (Baker) Ching were cultured in the humus soil of wild prohabitat and soil leaching solution.Then make detailed observations for the development process of the gametophyte with the microscope.This paper records the gametophyte development process of Polypodiaceae Lepisorus paohuashanensis Ching and Lepidogrammitis drymoglossoides (Baker) Ching.The results showed that the spores of Lepisorus paohuashanensis Ching were yellow-green,kidney - shape in equatorial view,monolete,and having irregular lump decorations on the surface.The spores bourgeoned within 4 days after inoculation in the humus soil of wild prohabitat,and formed prothallial plates for about 21 days.The gametophyte developed into Drynaria-type.The spores of Lepidogrammitis drymoglossoides (Baker) Ching were yellowish-brown,lunette-shape in equatorial view,monolete,with perispore.The spores bourgeoned within 7 days after inoculation in the humus soil of wild prohabitat,and formed prothallial plates for about 30 days.The gametophyte developed into Drynaria-type.
