Telling lies are used to have bad reputation.However,it is true that we live in a world where
lies are given every day.Teachers beautify the performance of their students
to encourage confidence.Doctors hide the truth of the illness to keep their
patients optimistic.Lovers tell sweet words to keep intimate relationship.
Because of the beautiful lies,I am deeply touched by the story in which a
painter drew a leaf everyday outside his window to raise hope of a terminally
ill patient.
Sometimes
telling lies help us to deal with tough things and get another opportunity to
make it better.Therefore,whether it is good to tell lies cannot be easily
concluded by a definite answer.Instead,it should be judged by its motivation.
As a high
school student,the instruction of our teacher and the anticipation of our
parents give me great pressure.When I did not perform quite well in the test,
sometimes I told a lie to avoid letting them down.However,as I felt ashamed
and uneasy about it,I would be stimulated to study harder,waiting for the
next opportunity to prove my ability.
Followed by
the same standard,when I am cheated,I persuade myself to calm down and think
