That is the day that the groundhog tells us how long after spring arrives!Groundhogs hibernate (冬眠) ，sleep underground in their burrows (地洞) during the winter. If it is a sunny day on February 2nd the groundhog will see its shadow and quickly return its burrow. If this happened there is other six weeks before spring arrives. If February 2nd is a cloudy day the groundhog will not see its shadow so it stays above ground for the while. Spring will come soon!

Wiarton Willy is a famous Canadian groundhog. The original Wiarton Willy dead in 1999 just before Groundhog Day. Two other groundhogs first Wee Willy and then Wee Willy 2 have taken its place. Will Wee Willy 2 see his shadow this year?
