Is there any 和 are there any 两个表达都是对的,要看具体情况.用单数时,表示预期答案是单数,但是不确定是哪个,或者答案不可数.如：
Is there any truth to that rumor?
Is there any hope for our overfished oceans?
上面两句是不能改成复数的,也不能把any改成a.下面这两句可以用单数也可以用复数：
2012:is there any reason to fear the end of the world?
Is there any way to see who views my profile on Facebook?
这里把any改成a也对：
