都没有省略.came in是个不及物动词短语所以后面不加宾语.而from the fields只是方式状语而已.
call in at是固定搭配表示拜访某地.
其中分词不可做宾语,可作表语.其余的都可以,注意不及物动词加宾语前必须有介词如；He comes from China.
其他情况：
He is looking forward to visiting me.(动名词)
He plans to visit me.(不定式)
He asked whether he could visit me.(从句)
call in at是固定搭配表示拜访某地.
其中分词不可做宾语,可作表语.其余的都可以,注意不及物动词加宾语前必须有介词如；He comes from China.
