With the speeding up of science and technology,there is no denying that the living conditions are being highly improved.As for whether the range of technology accessible to individuals is increasing or decreasing the gap between two classes,opinions are highly divided.
Some people argue that technologies are enlarging the gap by pointing out the fact that poor people are less likely to access the advantaged technologies.This is partly true,especially when the high prices of advanced technologies are mainly considered.However,taking a long view,they tend to be simplifying the situation.Due to the highly developing technology,our life is becoming more convenient and most people are given much more chances to be successful.For example,because of the popularization of the Interment,everyone is given the opportunity to access the up-to-date information in both business and scientific researches,thus guaranteeing individuals the newest development.
On the other hand,some others hold the view that technologies are indeed reducing the gap.They have their own views.Firstly,the availability to the range of technology is making their life more efficient,thus ensuring them more time to do some other things,such as a part-time job.This is particular true when people can do their work at home through the Internet; people can do two or three jobs now.Secondly,in the so-called Information Age when advanced technologies are vital,once you have a sound knowledge of the technology,you can easily find a well-paid job.
To conclude,I tend to think that the availability for individuals to technologies is more a blessing than a curse,which can reduce the gap between two classes as well as benefit our society.
