According to the reading passage,the author claims that dinosaurs was long assumed that they were not endotherms but now there are many considerable evidence show that dinosaurs were endotherms.However,the professor rufutes the point of view of the author by saying that evidence given by the reading passage is not convincing.
Although the reading passage mentions that the fossils of dinosaurs discovered in polar regions showed that dinosaurs were endotherms because only animals that can mantain a temperature could be active in such cold climates,the lecturer counters that those discoveries were not the case since dinosaurs could migrate to another place when the climate in the polar region turned to be cold.Also,dinosaurs could hibernate to aviod the cold climate.
When the reading passage indicates that the connections between the endotherm and the position and movement of the leg,which were similar to the position of modern endotherms,can strongly suggets that dinosaurs were endotherms,the professor casts doubt on the opiions of the author by saying that the sizes of dinosaurs were very big so that's why their legs should be undemeath their body,it did not mean that the position of the legs indicates the intence of efficient running.
In contrast to the reading passage.which points out that the dinosaurs' bone structure strongly suggest that they were endotherms because dinosaurs grew very fast,the professor asserts that even in very cold weather,dinosaur also grew rapidly,but this phenomenon was not existed in endotherms.
In conclusion,when the reading passage mentions that dinosaurs were endotherms,the professor repudiates the view of the reading passage and indicates that those evidence are not convincing.
