An important principle on theoretical cooperation in linguistics was put forward by the philosopher Grice,but the principle on conversational cooperation itself was not perfect.It was later reinforced and supplemented with the etiquette principle set out by G.N.Leech,a famous British linguist.But in everyday conversation,we still find cases of communication which violate these two principles.Base on a study of the impact of the two principles on English conversation,this paper proposes steps to address such violations and to correctly coordinate and apply these principles for communication to ensure normal,smooth and the most effective conduct of language communication between people.
