In my opinion,job training is more important because what we learn from school most are just basic concepts,we need someone to tell us how to use these concepts in real life.Although you have high education,you may still don't know how to operate in a job.
A strong educational background can help you get a good job,but this is not certain.A strong educational background can give employers a good sense about you.They know that you may easily to be trained than less knowledgeable people.However,if they have more skills than what you have got for a job,I think employers would choose them eventhough they have weaker educational backgroud.
