意思:你的工作是什么?主语是工作,单数名词所以要用系动词is.
what nationality are you?
意思:你是什么国籍?主语是你,要用系动词are.
如果用is.应说成what is your nationality
此种为主系表结构,am,is,are到底用哪个要看主语是什么,除I,You以外的第三人称单数或单数名词以及不可数名词做主语用is.
this is a new student
student 是可数名词,所以要用不定冠词a,指一个,如果可数名词以元音字母开头要用不定冠词an,例如:an apple .
这是一名新生.单数,所以用is.复数形式:These are new students.
