【A big earthquake 作文 】
　　On April 20,2013, a big and powerful earthquake attacked Yaan,a southwestern country of China . A great many buildings and houses collapsed, a lot of people were killed and even more people lost their homes in the earthquake .

Hearing the news and watching the pictures about this earthquake , people across the country were in great sorrow. However , what we should do when facing this disaster is not to be in sorrow but to offer help .

Soon after the earthquake happened , soldiers and medical professionals were sent to the earthquake stricken areas to search and rescue the survivals. The residents there saved themself as well. What's more , people across China offered to make donations energetically. Relief materials and funds were continuously pouring into the earthquake stricken areas.
As far as we students are concerned, we should provide our helping hands for them. We can donate our spare money to the victims who are in urgent need of food and medicine. Besides, our spirit support and sincere prayers can help the broken hearts overcome this temporary disaster.

This earthquake reminds us that safety is very important . Therefore , we should be taught some basic knowledge about how to escape from an earthquake in class .
