Some people think that parents should teach children how to be a good member of society.Others,however,believe that school is the place to learn this.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Nowadays,the debate over whether parenting or schooling plays a more critical role in leading children to be an appropriate member of society has been argued for a long period.I want to explore both of these views in this controversy.
Some individuals tend to believe that parenting is more significant in this sort of education.From my perspective,it is true that family members are the first group of people that newborns are attached in the world.Therefore,there is no doubt that they are the individuals,in this case,the parents,who are supposed to take responsibility for helping their children be familiar with this complicated society,because kids’ best teachers are their parents.Besides,parents’ words are more acceptable for children and suitable for their living condition.Moreover,they do not cost any social education resources.
Admittedly,the opinion that school education also contribute a great deal to children is undeniable.The main reason is that schools are the first place where children are getting to know peers apart from their family members or neighbours.Obviously,teachers are supposed to educate them how to communicate and get along well with others.But,however,every kid has his own bother and schooling cannot deal with every one.Thus,most children will turn to their parents for help instead of teachers.
In summary,both education at home and at school is in need.But speaking for myself,the former one seems more fundamental,owning to the family bonds are always stronger than teacher-student relationship.As a consequence,parents should pay more attention to their children.
