Study on the defects and improvement of
outsourcing of acquisition and cataloguing in library
Abstract: The outsourcing of acquisition and cataloguing in library is the acquisition and cataloguing function that needed by the library which is relegate to external service suppliers by the contract way. After that we can make full use of external enterprise's resources and the management efficiency advantage.,lower the library job costs, increase productivity, improve the whole competitive power, promote the standardization of cataloging information, but at the same time it also can bring us some negative effects and there has some defects and risks. This paper mainly analyzes the defects and improvement of outsourcing of acquisition and cataloguing in library and its future outlook .
