“who……Peter Pan” 同位语从句,= J.M.Barrie
speculation是“推断、推测”,后面有补充时,用that引导.
2.原句的主语是thick growth of sunflowers,然后后面现在分词作伴随状语,只是说明一个部位的特征.
如果换成standing ten feet tall,their brown heads dropped ,那么整个句子的主语就变成了（their brown）heads,是局部,而前面说的却是整体,显然不行.
