说实话,查完了词典,看完了这么多例句,我还是说服不了自己,为什么说it is good manners to do sth. 是的,这个it is不能改为they are ,因为it是形式主语,真正的主语是不定式to do sth. 是单数的概念,但是说manners 是复数名词,怎么会有it is +复数名词的结构呢?这也是我一直有的疑问.
只不过说多了,就习惯了.后来再也不去想这个问题了.语言,就是一个约定俗成的东西,语法是用来解释它的.作为学生,记住就行了.如何自圆其说,那是语法学家的事情.
楼主的问题,我改回来了.主谓宾,主语是单数,宾语是复数,这不奇怪的.
If someone has good manners, they are polite and observe social customs. If someone has bad manners, they are impolite and do not observe these customs.
楼主：记住it is good manners/bad manners to do sth. 这个句型吧.不要去细想主表（逻辑）不一致的问题了.
