My enquiry is about Pulsed Power Supply - PS - (Pulsed Lamp Driver).
This PS drives linear Xe filled pulse (flash) lamp that excites Nd:YAG rod in the pump cavity of the Laser resonator.Excuse me if this is well known for you.
Technical specifications :
- simmer mode - appr.0.5 - 0.7 A;
- average power - 4 - 5 kW;
- prr (pulse repet.rate) of discharge pulses - up to 100 Hz/200 Hz; step - 1 Hz;
- pulse duration - 0.2 - 2 ms / 10 ms; step 0.1 ms;
- discharge current shape - appr.rectangular;
- discharge current amplitude - up to 600 A ; step - 1 (or ) A;
- min discharge current amplitude - 50 A;
- mains - 3 phase,380 VAC;
- protections - outer contact via laser cooler; this protections ensures Laser off status in the case of cooling emergency;
This kind of PS is usually designed with power IGBT switch that controls the lamp DC current discharge delivered by high capacity battery.
This PS can ensure Laser output up to 120 W average power and is appropriate for Laser Cutting Machine - metal sheets - up to 2 mm thickness (pulse duration up to 2 ms) and welding (up to 10 ms).
