The firemen had been fighting with the forest fire for nearly three weeks before the fire was controlled at last.The tall trees covered the countryside for miles around before a few days.But now the smoke still gave off from the warm ground over the desolate hills.The winter was coming; these hills threatened the village around it with destruction for the heavy rain would not only wash away the soil,but also would cause the flood.
The forest authorities booked several tons special grass-seeds which grew quickly after the fire had been put out.It began to rain after the grass-seeds were sprayed to over the ground by a plane.By then,the seeds in many places had taken root.Patches of green grass started to appear in the blackened soil instead of the tall trees had been growing here for centuries.
