One early morning in June last year it was sunny. I was 41 my son at school when I saw a little girl wearing a T-shirt with the word “Titanic” written on the front. 42 the school uniform policy. I believed this meant that the girl belonged to a class team called “Titanic”. As I pulled out of the school I couldn’t 43 but ask myself why the students would 44 their team “Titanic” and expect it to be 45 .
I watched the movie 46 my kids who forced me to watch it with them. Looking at the screen the 47 came to me: What sunk the Titanic? Was it because the ship was not well 48 ? Or was it because the owner was overconfident?
In my view the sip sunk due to a 49 of many reasons. To start with the owner of the ship assumed his ship was too modern and too solid to sink. That was his first mistake. In life nothing is 50 . Life can change in the 51 of an eye and however prepared you are you might need to 52 the possibility of a sinking ship.
Mistake number two was that the ship had more people 53 than the lifeboats on the ship could carry. 54 this was because the owner was overconfident about his vessel. Or he was just careless and 55 of the danger of not having enough rescue tools. The biggest lesson we learn from this mistake is this: never 56 move than you can chew----like somebody said “Nobody looks 57 when spitting it back out.”
This goes for 58 too. Those overconfident attitudes and lazy tendencies are icebergs 59 to his and sink your ship. Keep in mind that confidence is good but overconfidence always 60 the ship down in the end.
