How about the price of these refrigerators?
---They are equal in price to ,if not cheaper than ,the ones at the other store.
if not cheaper than 是一个状语从句 夹在 to 和 the ones 之间用符合隔开
能不能理解成一个副词被放在了介词和介词宾语之间呢?如果是那样的话 这种用法普遍吗 还有如果是一个单独的副词来讲不需要加符合了吧 符号是区别于从句的吗?

if not cheaper than 是省略的条件状语从句,if it is not cheaper than the ones at the other store,把它提出来就容易理解这句话了.If it is not cheaper than the ones at the other store,they are equal in price to the ones at the other store.
句意：如果这些冰箱不比其它店的便宜,也会和其它店的价格一样高.
