Towards the issue,my point of view is that letters ought to be preserved.As an ancient form of transforming words from each other,letters always express the true feeling of one's heart vividly.While short messages are just some dead words on the screen that come out the same.Altough some environmentalists claim that we should use some other high-technical ways to express our feelings rather than at the cost of damaging the nature,I hold the opposite view.Calligraphy which represents strong personality,was created to express one's thought.And letter is the only carrier of such lively words.Masses of things like emotions and feelings can be read from the unique calligraphy.And that's what short messages can't do.
To sum up,though instant messages have the advantages over swiftness,they can never replace the letters that convey one's genuine heart.
