用法一

以上连词表示“直到”或“直到……为止”.till、until 放在主句后面,其后加从句,或和时间相关的宾语.up till、up until、up to、through till、through to 放在主句后面,其后加和时间相关的宾语.through till、through to 既可以被理解为“直到、直到……为止”又可以被理解为“一直到、一直到……为止”.这些连词既是口语又是书面语.

not...till、not...until 表示“直到……才”,和中文句法正好相反.not 前面可以放助动词 be/ do/ have 或情态动词,till、until 后面可以加宾语或从句.not until 表示“直到”或“直到……才”,并可以用在【主语＋be＋not until＋宾语】这样的句法中（宾语指时间）,也可以用来回答或答复,not until 放在句子的开头,其后加宾语或从句.这些连词既是口语又是书面语.
总的来说,until 前面可以用：现在时、过去时、现在进行时、过去进行时、将来时、现在完成时、过去完成时、现在完成进行时、过去完成进行时、将来完成时；until 后面除了将来时和将来完成时以外,用任何以上时态都可以.
