much less 意思是 更不用说,何况.
一般用在两个子句的连接处,（也可以叫做两个递进关系的子句的连接）
如：I can't understand this sentence,much less that article.
我连这个句子都没明白,更不用说（看懂）那个句子了.
He is afraid to stand in the water,much less swim in the swimming pool.
他连站在水里都感到害怕,更何况在游泳池里游泳呢.
