　　Wuthering Heights tells us a complicated and fantastic story of two generations in the 18th century just happened in Wuthering Heights.
　　In 1801,a gentleman named Lockwood rented a fine house and park called Thrushcross Grange in Yorkshire,the host Mr.Heathcliff was rude to him.He also met young man called Hareton,uncultured and rough.One night ,a goast came to Lockwood and it was proved to be Catherine,the lover of Heathcliff.Lockwood was scared by the goast and also gradually,he learned more and more about the histories of two local families of the Earnshaws and the Lintons.
　　In around 1760,a gentleman-farmer named Earnshaw went from his farm,Wuthering Heights,to Liverpool on a business trip.He found there a little boy who had apparently been abandoned on the streets,and brought the child home to his own family of his wife,his son Hindley,his daughter Catherine..He named the boy Heathcliff.But all the familiy members disliked the strange boy except Catherine,they soon became good friends and played together.Earnshaw’s wife soon died.And Hindley was sent to college.
　　Some years later,Earnshaw's health declined and then he died finally.Hindley became the host of Wuthering Heights.He treated Heathcliff badly and destroyed the love between Heathcliff and his sister.But they still loved each other deeply.One day,they two ran to the Grange,where lived Edgar and Isabella.Catherine was treated well for 5 weeks while Heathcliff was throwed out by the Lintons.After 5 weeks,Catherine came back being a beautiful young lady.And she finally disappointed Heathcliff and married Edgar.
　　Before that Hindley had married a woman and she died left a baby.Hindley became more and more cruel from then on.
　　Then Heathcliff left the Wuthering Heights with his deep love sadly.Some time later,Heathcliff returned suddenly,and he had become a wealthy,handsome gentleman.Catherine was quite happy when she saw Heathcliff again because she still loved him very much.However Heathcliff choosed to marry with Isabella,the sister of Edgar.He put his hatred deeply in his own heart.
　　Later Catherine had a baby girl also named Catherine.Hindley’s son named Hareton.Catherine died after she gave the birth to little Cathy.Several months later Hindley got bankrupt and died.Heathcliff finally became the owner of Wuthering Heights.But he treated cruelly to his wife.Isabella could not bear his inhumanity so she ran away and then she got a baby named Linton.
　　Several years later,the children growed up.Edgar was in poor health and didn't know about Linton's equally bad health and bad character,so he thought it would be good for Catherine to marry him - since Linton and not Catherine would inherit the Grange,most likely.But little Cathy did not love Linton.Linton died due to his poor health after they two got married.Little Cathy became a young widow.As her father-in-law,Heathcliff also took the Grange away.
　　Little Cathy and Hindly’s son Hareton were just like Heathcliff and Catherine.They loved each other though Heathcliff tried everything to ruin them.Finally he realized Hareton was just himself who loved Catherine deeply stilled.
　　In the end,Heathcliff became low in spirit and also weak in health.After his death,little Catherine and Hareton planned to marry and move to the Grange.
