John,I am glad to hear that you are traveling to China soon.I would like to give you some advice.Well,in China,there are mainly two choices,package tour and traveling on your own.They both have their advantages and disadvantages .Let's take a look at package tour first.It makes your travel easy and comfortale.You needn't worry about your journey and the transportation,for they all are done by the travel agence,and it costs less.But there are some disadvantages too.You have less time for your sight-seeing.You are forced to buy something at the scenic spots,and the food is badly served.Now let's come to traveling on your own.It has some advantages.You can decide your journey,you have enough time for every place you want to go to.Hower,it has some disadvantages.You have to spend much time preparing for you tour,such as getting more information about your journey and the destinations you are going to.Sometimes it is hard work.
In my opinion,if I were you,I would take a package tour.
