The coldness in my heart
People say that your heart must be warm and pumping for you to be alive.Well,then,I guess I am now classified as a dead.For when I reached for my chest,all that met my touch was the most thrilling of cold.I can remember that my heart was warm once,when I was still young and naïve.But this icy and dark world had quenched my little flame far too quickly.My passions and dreams have been worn off in the daily life of petty chores and minute calculations.My ideals had been mercilessly crushed by the terms of reality.As soon as I entered this society,I have learnt that in order to survive its cold,I must be colder.Now I sit on my damp bed,hugging my quilt close to my chest as if it will make me warmer.I can hear the snowflakes colliding with each other in the chilly wind.I can almost feel the loss of temperature in my body.Indeed,the night is cold,but my heart is colder still.
