城市化进程给城市湖泊和水流带来了极大的污染,主要表现为城市化本身带来的污染和城市化副产物带来的污染.本文通过2010年8月参与的对重庆市九曲河（郊区、城市化进程中）和盘溪河（城区、城市化）几次降雨前后的水质监测和分析,研究了不同城市化进程区域和降雨前后的同一城市化进程区域的水质变化特征,探讨了城市化进程对河流水质不容忽视的影响,研究结果表明：
1.对不同城市化进程区域的水质分析,表明盘溪河的河流水质明显差于九曲河的河流水质,主要表现在SS、TN、TP和氨氮指标偏高；

3.城市化对河流水质的影响表观体现在城市化建设造成的城区和郊区的水质变化,具体表现城市降雨径流污染对河流水质的影响,集中体现在SS和TP的变化上.
