Second-hand book sales are prevailing on campus nowadays. It is very good for both book sellers and buyers. As books are very expensive, it is very hard for many students to buy new books, especially for those students from ordinary working class families. However they have to buy books as they want to learn and the books in the libaray cannot satisfy their need in many cases. In such circumstances it is a happy thing for them just to pay 10-30% of the oringinal price to own a copy of their loved book. For the book sellers, it is also a good way to create an extra income by selling those books that they believe they would never use them again. Especially those students who need to move to other cities after their graduation, there is no point for them to ship those old books to his new city as the shipment cost can be as high as the cost to buy some new books.
So, the second hand market is a right place where the problems of both buyers and sellers can be solved by book trading, which is why it becomes more and more popular on campus. I like books and I love second hand book market. Visiting a second hand book store is my hobby and I enjoy it very much.
