Today,I will talk something about opportunity and challenge.
Everyone wants to succeed.But as we know,All of their success came at a price.Beethoven was one of the greatest musician,but he was deaf;Helen Keller was one of the most famous writer,but she was deaf and blind;Edison was one of the most important inventor,but he was deaf,too.Despite this,but still nobody doesn't want to succeed.How can we succeed?It needs opportunity.But all the opportunities are accompanied with challenges though not all the challenge will make you succeed.So I think success is not only need diligence,but also need a little luck.Edison ever said:" Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine perspiration."The one percent inspiration is the opportunity,it need you lucky enough to meet it.But when you meet it,can you catch it?And can you have the ability to pass the challenge?
Madame Curie can do this.She was the first woman to win two Nobel prizes.At 1896,French physicist Becquerel found that a kind of uranium salt can emit automatically a kind of unknown radiation.This was her opportunity.She thought this was a natural phenomenon.She decided to check all the known chemical substance.At last she found the radioactivity and won the Nobel Prize for physics.But she wasn't content.She thought it is a unknown elements in uranium asphalt ore.The fact proved that she was right,she found the polonium in July,1898.And in December,she found the radium.But many scientist didn't believe it.They said Curie should measure polonium and radium's atomic weight.After four years of working hard,Curie found the pure radium chloride and won the Nobel Prize for chemistry.
There are many challenge and only one opportunity at Madame Curie's life.She was looked down upon because she was a woman.All of her experiment was dangerous because of the radioactive substance.And her husband was dead of a accident.But she had never given up and passed all the opportunity.She won ten times bonus,16 pieces medal and 107 honorary title.
It is not easy for us to succeed.So,from now on,let us study hard and gather experience.When the opportunity comes,try your best to catch it and pass the challenge,you will be the winner!
