Life is like a mountain,the more step that we take,the higher peek we will get.Indeed,during about eight days’ researching about Starbucks,we achieved to a new peek from the origin.
‘No matter how far you have gone,the familiar flavor tends to bring you a sense of belonging.’At the time we chose our topic,Starbucks’ sense of familiar came up to my mind.Closing my eyes,my memory dated back to the last summer at Singapore.Taking a plane to Singapore alone for SAT test,I launched my journey of independence.But at that time I stood on the side of the walk,I found that I lost my way,which made me felt upset and tired.Wandering between the cars and buildings under the scorching sunshine,with sweat flowing down my face,I carried the heavy luggage with me and looked for the hotel that I booked around the test center.When I raised my head,the big signboard of Starbucks came into my view with the fragrant coffee’s flavor,which made me felt familiar immediately.From that moment,the sense of strange disappear,after drinking Starbucks’ coffee,I felt satisfied and found the way by the help of shop assistant.So the biggest reason why I chose Starbucks as the topic was that gave us a direct sense of familiar and took the majority of our impression.
Not only for the sense of familiar,but also because our further major and the useful skills for our life.Motivated by these factors,we decided to focus on the attainment of Starbucks to extend our researching.
In order to demonstrate our topic and point of view clearly,we decided to set a plan about what should we do next.Getting to the nearby Starbucks to take the short interview,asking the passers-by for the questionnaires,and projecting the lines of role－play,we set a complete plan about our research.Undoubtedly,we will not miss the chance to take a shot of the original store so that we added it to plan.
The first step for us is to get some information.After introducing by Amada and other teachers,we got to know how to use these effective tools in order to enrich our presentation.Applying the resources in library and searching on Internet provide us a convenient technique to recognize the strategies of Starbucks.Works seemed all right by now.
But actually things are more complicated that we were expected to be as the plan.We’d like to collect the comments from different hierarchies to enhance the fairness of the judgments,which ensure our later analysis based on the questionnaires is available.But at the time we asked people from different occupations for help to finish our questionnaires,some people rejected us with indifferent and ruthless.Encourage by others in our group,we won’t give up.Even the shop assistant rebuffed our video requisition for their shop provision ,we got the written record about our interview finally after consult.
