What does generation gap mean? What do we understand by the words ‘’generation hap ‘’ ? Generation gap means the people in different age have different opinion the same thing, they had different attitude and experience on the same thing.
Because the generation gap , the young and the old may be at odds on many issues .
They both had different idea and opinion on one thing , for example , young people like fashion and individuality things , they got the hair to become all kinds of colours,put on strange cloths, but the older people doesn’t like that , they think that they shouldn’t do this .they don’t understand the trough of young people.
Why is there a gap between generations? Because the older and the younger grow up in different periods and societies. They have formed different values .So they can't understand each other. many young people are complaining that their parents can not understand them very well. They say that their parents take care of every aspect of their lives, leaving them unable to have their private space, on the other hands , parents are worried that their children don't show any respect to them and never give them any trust. This is generation gap !
Also , The generation gap is wider now than before ! If we take a look at the younger generation and the old generation ,we can see that there are many differences The two kinds of people often don't understand each other because thay have different experiences , ideas , habits ,and behavior .in the past year ,the generation gap has become even wider because of new technology . the young love computer games .ipod and cell phones , in the other hand ,the old have a hard time understanding how to use those stuff.
Because most children use the computer all the time , their parents don’t understand why you use the computer all the time. This is the example of generation gap. New technology is creating generation gaps.
we should try to take some time to communicate with family frequently. Not only the parents, but also the kids should be equal when exchanging their views. The most important thing is that families should understanding and contact ,share the experence with each other so that both can et the same idea.
generation gap can be bridged as long as both parents and children are willing to make efforts. They may have an open talk and tell each other what they think about certain problems. They should be considerate enough to realize that each generation has its own advantages and disadvantages. Their openness and consideration probably will result in a much better relationship between purents and children

Generation gap means people,in different ages,have different opinions,as well as different attitudes and experiences,towards a thing.Because of the generation gap ,the young and the old may be at odds on many issues.They may have different ideas and opinions on one thing ,for example,young people like fashionable and individual things,making their hair into all kinds of colours; putting on strange clothes,while the old think and behave differently.They think that youngsters should not do this kind of things,and they can not understand their so-called fashion and individuality.
Why is there a gap between generations?Reasons are as follows.First,it is mainly because that the old and the younge grew up in different periods of the society,and they were tagged with different formed values of that time .As a result,they can't understand each other very well.For instance,many young people are complaining that their parents do not understand them.They say that their parents take care of every aspect of their lives,leaving them unable to have their private space.As for the parents,they are worrying that their children do not show any respect to them,and as a result they do not trust their children well.This is generation gap!
