The archaeologists in our city found a large site of ancient ruins last week.However ， whether to excavate it has aroused arguments among the local citizens.

Those who are in favour of excavating it hold the opinion that it will contribute a lot to the study of the local history.Furthermore ， the government may make good use of the site to make up for the lack of tourist resources in our city.

But others believe that our excavating technique is not advanced enough ， considering that the ancient ruins are easily destroyed if carelessly dealt with.They also claim that the excavation and the protection of historical relics will undoubtedly cost a large sum of money.

In my opinion ， it is the most important to perfectly preserve the historical relics while we have no experience and skills to excavate such a big site of ancient ruins.
