《英语搭配大词典》和《英语用法问题解答》（增订本）中分别出现了 “two score of eggs”和“five score of herring”这样的用例,这似乎说明可以在dozen,score 等词后面用of.但这与文前92年高考题又相矛盾.若能这样用,则A亦为正确答案.但是,《英语用法问题解答》（增订本）下面的观点可供参考：“事实上,在现代英语中,表是twenty（二十）的数词score 的使用范围非常有限,只有在一些以score 计数的货品名称之前才 用,如five score of herring（一百条鲱鱼）.至于其他名词,即使偶尔使用,也应注意不可用于of结构,比如,虽然有时偶尔可以说,There were not above two score people present.（出席人数不超过四十）,但是一般不可说there were not above two score of people present.
