I'm deeply sorry but I have to let you know that I lost the English novel Gone with the Wind which I borrowed from you a month ago. I like it so much that I took it with me wherever I went. Unfortunately the other day during a trip to Beijing I was in such a hurry to get off the train that I forgot to put it back in my bag. I'm so sorry as I know the novel was a birthday present from your father.
Hard as I tried I was not able to find the novel in any bookstore here. I wonder if you would like to take the Chinese-English version which will hopefully help improve your Chinese.
