是C.They found有说明作用,可以看做是个停顿,也就相当于一个中文句子:他们发现.后面是讲述一件事,前面的只起到说明的作用.(也就是They found划条线,后面节下去有是一部分)例如:我发现,令我们吃惊的是,这只猫会飞.(举个例子,可能不符合现实)
这句话的翻译是:他们发现,令他们吃惊的是.
