Television and Newspapers
Television and newspapers are both very important news media.However,in terms of releasing news and offering entertainment,there are great differences between them as the source of news.
On one hand,if an individual purchases a television set,he has access to on-the-spot news coverage from all over the world.At the flick of a switch he can see news happen,and can watch both celebrations and tragedies as they actually occur.
On the other hand,the newspaper has the advantage of a different kind of convenience.The subscriber does not have to remain glued to a television set but can read the news at his leisure and save special stories.For a few cents,he can read the history of the world as it unfolds.
It is easy to say,therefore,that while TV has the advantage of immediacy and dramatic effect,the newspaper is far less costly,more convenient and more permanent.If I am to choose,I will subscribe to a newspaper without doubt.
