Money Makes Us Happy
Hello,everybody.I’m so glad to give you a speech here today.The topic of my speech is money makes us happy.
At the beginning of this speech,I want to tell you a story.
An English reporter was walking along a small street in New York,when suddenly a robber jumped out from behind the wall.The robber shouted at him:“Give all your money to me,or I’ll cut your head down!” The reporter smiled and said:“Just cut my head down,please.I can live without my head in New York,but not without my money.”
Of course,this is only a joke.But it reflects not only the sense of humor of the English reporter,but the importance of money now days.
Now,money is becoming more and more important.I’m sure that most of the people would like to become a rich person.The main reason is that almost all material things here on earth can be bought with money.For many people,money is everything.They believe that having a lot of money can bring them to the satisfaction of which they have dreamed.That's how powerful money is.It can control our mind.When people have enough money to pay the bills,they would feel happy.It is real that in our daily lives,rich people get more respect and admirer from other people than poor people.That’s why there is more and more workaholic,which would like to work days and nights,in the world.When they finish a work and got money,they are really proud of themselves,and they feel really happy to get so much money from working.
But not only gaining money could make us happy.For example,your parents also need a lot of money bringing up their children.They may not get any return by this,but it is obvious that parents are glad to see a little child grow up and become a useful talent.Parents would be very sad if they do not have enough money for their children.Another hand,isn’t it happy to give some of your money to help the poor people to get a better life?I’m sure that the answer is yes.
Money can’t help us to do everything,but it is really very important,and it can give us a better life.Money makes us happy.
