In order to avoiding the appellation misuse in intercultural communication, we should understand the differences of appellation words which exist between Chinese and English culture . This article focuses on the social appellation systems between Chinese and English , and Education countermeasures, through comparisons the appellation of profession, social appellation, honorific words and modest words, realizes and compares the difference of Chinese and English appellation, and understanding the difference in culture. In the end, the writter would introduce the causes of why appellation problems are different between Chinese and English ,and then put forward some education countermeasures. In a word, social appellation has important functions, correct understanding and having a good command of social appellation will be benefitable to intercultural communication activities ,and achieve good results in foreign language teaching process.
