我的父母与一般的中国家长不太一样,从小对我采用西式教育,让我自己选择自己想走的路.高中毕业后,我面临一个选择,继续我的学业还是帮我爸爸做生意.我并没有考虑多久,毅然决然地选择继续我的学业,去读大学,原因是我喜欢学习,我觉得学习很有意思,我能在学习中得到乐趣.
现在我已经大三了,回想自己以前的这个选择,我感到无比庆幸,我认为我的选择是十分正确的.大学学习增长了我的知识,陶冶了我的情操,让我学会了静下心了专注地做一件事.我在大学读的是英语专业,英语水平的提高让我可以更好地了解国外的文化,更好地接受丰富的国外信息,从而更好地了解这个世界.
这一切都是我当初自己的选择带来的后果.人生就是这样,有时一个小小的选择就可能改变一个人的一生.所以,当我们面临选择时一定要慎重,最重要的是要跟着自己的内心走,做真实的自己,不要背叛自己的内心.人生苦短,尽可能不要让自己留下遗憾,悔恨终生.希望今后我们每个人在面临关键选择时都能选择正确的那个!

my parents had raise me with an western approach, allowing me the freedom to chose my own path, very different from the average Chinese parents. After graduating from high school, I was faced with a decision, to continue my education or to help my father in his business. It didn't take me long to decide to go to university, and continue my education, the reason for this decision is that I rather enjoy learning, it gives me a sense of purpose.
By now I am already a third year student, looking back at my decision now, I've felt that I made the right choice. University had increased my knowledge, molded my individuality, allowing me to remain focus on my goals. My major in university is professional English, the betterment of my English allows me to better understand the cultures foreign to this country, and discover the wealth of knowledge beyond our own, all of this helps me to better understand our world.
All these were results from a single decision. It is a wonder that how a simple decision would have such a great impact, such is life. As so I find that, whenever we are face with decisions, the most important thing to remember is, be true to our hearts, and be true to ourselves. Life is short, so we must strive to live without any regrets, as such I wish that everyone will be able to make the right choices in their lives.
