英语作为世界人民的普通话,越来越受到人们的重视,在我国的很多城市从幼儿园开始就设置英语课.但是英语在我国作为第二语言,大部分人为了考试和作题而学,而不是作为交流的工具来学,其实最主要的因素是缺少接触英语的环境.因此,本文针对英语课程标准对小学生英语口语能力的要求,仔细分析了情景教学法的涵义、创设途径、功能,抓住小学生在英语口语学习中的心理特点、思维特点、所遇到的困难等因素,在教学中合理的运用情景教学法,创设语言环境,让学生有更多的机会运用已学过的语言,一步步激发学生乐说、易说、会说英语,进而提高小学生的英语口语言表达能力.

English has become increasingly important as the lingua franca (通用语/普通话) of the people of the world. In our country for example, English courses are offered (提供) by kindergartens all over our major cities. But English, being the second language, is not widely learnt as a mode of communication. On the contrary, most students treat the language as another, ordinary examination subject which burdens them with homework. The main reason for this phemomenon 现象 is the lack of an environment conducive (有利于) to dynamic (活跃) English-speaking.

This essay attempts to study the demand of the standard of the English courses on the primary school students' ability to speak the language, by analysing carefully the following factors: the definition, processes of creation, and effectiveness of the conducive method of teaching (情景教学法?) [ 或: "method of environmental teaching"? ] and identify the psychological and thinking traits (特点) of the students in learning English-speaking, the difficulties encountered (遇到的困难) etc.. If this method of environmental teaching is applied reasonably in the teaching of the language, the conducive environment thereby created will certainly provide the students with wider opportunities to practise the language they have learnt. This process will gradually encourage the students to speak English more freely, happily and easily, and this in turn will therefore their abilities to express themselves in the language."
