In our city, there some chemical factories which puff black and heavy smokes every day into the air and discharge wasted water into the nearby rivers and ponds. We think that this has seriously polluted the living environment and caused serious health troubles for the people living in this city. Therefore we strongly demand that the leaders in charge of protection of the environment in the city government should look into the matter and urge the persons in charge of the factories to close their factories down or move them out of the city as soon as possible. We also suggest that any other units that litter rubbish on the sides of the roads be punished. We also hope you will kindly use your influence to take charge of matter seriously. We remain,
