while表示前后两个动作同时进行,而且前后两个动作还形成一种对照.My mother was washing the plates ,while my father was watching TV.I am five years old,while he is 7 years old.
when指当.的时候eg:When I was young,I would like to listen to the radio.When I was in london,I used to go to the Bell Tower.
