I had a friend try on the suit who is 5'5" and 130 lbs.It fit everywhere but was a little long at the bottom of the legs.Once it was pulled over the ski boots,it was fine.Not loose in the crouch & shoulders which is where I would be concerned with in buying a smaller size.Hope this helps.As to the padding,I don't know the technology.Just that it has a lot of thick padding.
